Ashley Ward is a high volume supplier to several OEM’s in the lawn and garden industry. We supply parts to the industry keeping lawns groomed and driveways clear. With a large set of vertically integrated capabilities, Ashley Ward has what it takes to accurately and efficiently manufacture complex tiller drive shafts and gears in a production setting.
Ashley Ward manufactured a series of tiller drive shafts to be used within a garden tiller application. Using our advanced CNC turning operations, we produced 20,000 drive shafts for the lawn and garden industry, successfully meeting all client specifications. We also performed spline rolling to form the cylindrical body of each component.
Upholding a precision tolerance of (±) .001 of an inch, we manufactured each tiller driveshaft to measure precisely 1.25 inches in outer diameter. Constructed from 1045 steel material, we provided each unit with a smooth, 32 RMS finish. After ensuring that we met client expectations for design and quality, we then delivered all 20,000 units to our customer's facility in Ohio.
