This year, we hosted our fourth consecutive Manufacturing Day open house on Friday, October 19th. As part of National Manufacturing Month throughout the entire month of October, we had almost 50 students come out to explore the manufacturing industry. We provided students from local high schools, technical schools, and colleges with education on our company, as well as highlighted career opportunities in the machining and manufacturing industries. Students were able to walk the plant floor and get a firsthand view of the operations while hearing from some of our dedicated employees about why they chose manufacturing as a career and why they choose to stay at Ashley Ward. At the end of the tour, we discussed questions they had over some cookies and refreshments.
