For the past 40 years, Ashley Ward has made various musical
instrument parts for several musical instrument manufacturers. A few years ago,
one manufacturer asked us to manufacture the mouthpieces for the instruments
they sell. Since the sizes and shapes of mouthpieces vary with each instrument,
the screw machine process allows the parameters to be precisely set which
resulted in constant and consistent quality of each piece produced.
Musicians work with us to ensure the specifications for the
mouthpieces are correct. We developed a buffing process for the mouthpieces
that saves the time and cost of traditional hand buffing with less risk of
scratches or damage than the hand process. “We bring the same expertise
and technology to producing parts for the high school band as we do in creating
machined parts for other industries,” says Ashley Ward Vice President Tom
